Normandy Park
In the Heart of Southwest King County
Normandy Park is a beautiful waterfront community located along the shores of Puget Sound in Southwest King County, with convenient access to downtown Seattle and immediate access to SeaTac International Airport. With approximately 6,500 residents, covering an area of about 2.5 square miles, the community places high priority on maintaining and enhancing its quiet, green, pedestrian-friendly setting and on providing healthy, safe, family-oriented services.
A Safe, Clean, Green, Hidden Gem
Normandy Park is endowed with extraordinary natural assets – over 100 acres of parks, open space, and conservation areas – that provide an opportunity to enjoy the best of the Pacific Northwest without leaving home.
The City regularly displays community artists at City Hall, holds a yearly Normandy Park Arts Festival, and hosts weekly Music-in-the-Park events throughout the summer. “The Cove”, a private residential gathering place on Puget Sound, is home to a yearly 4th of July celebration at the conclusion of the all-community 4th of July parade on Marine View Drive. Normandy Park is served by two private swim clubs and pools.
Just 23 minutes and 14 miles from Seattle, and 28 minutes and 21 miles from Bellevue, and with an average housing value over $530K, Normandy Park is an excellent current and future residential investment.
Robust Shopping Areas
Both Normandy Park’s two shopping areas, Manhattan Village and Normandy Park Towne Center, are at or near full capacity with diverse, contemporary, neighborhood and destination dining, shopping and service options.
City Government
The City of Normandy Park was incorporated on June 8, 1953. Its city government consists of seven elected council members, one of whom is selected as mayor by the Normandy Park City Council and serves as chair of the council. The City is classified in the Revised Code of Washington (RCW 35A) as a non-charter code city with a council/manager form of government. The City of Normandy Park Police Department is respected for community policing with capable service levels and highly trained officers.
