Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee is made up of Chamber-Member volunteers who are liaisons of our Chamber. Ambassadors attend functions and events and provide a professional and hospitable atmosphere for everyone. This Committee offers each Ambassador a gateway into learning more about the business community and places the Ambassadors in the limelight of the Chamber as they are often the first people to engage a business.

Burien Creative District Committee
The Burien Creative District Committee works in collaboration and strategic partnership with Arts organizations as well as businesses and community stakeholders to research and potentially create and establish a state-designated Creative District within the City of Burien.

Governmental Affairs Council
The Government Affairs Committee focuses on the issues that matter most in our region and the communities we serve and notifies the Chamber Board when a specific position needs to be taken. The Seattle Southside Chamber is also part of the South Sound Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coalition (SSCCLC), whose collaborative advocacy efforts work to improve the business climate. The work of the Government Affairs committee allows the Chamber to serve as the voice of business at all levels of government to include monitoring and advocating for legislative issues and concerns.
2% of membership dues are used for lobbying and government advocacy and are not tax-deductible as a business expense.

Gala Committee
The Gala Planning Committee works in collaboration with members who are interested in supporting our annual Gala event. This event helps fund the Success Foundation and its Workforce Discovery Lab, a high school internship program that gives students hands-on experience in a wide range of career paths, including medicine, finance, culinary arts, and more!
