Description
Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates is seeking a customer service-oriented and organized Program Coordinator to support the firm’s nationally recognized work in planning and program implementation for more equitable workplaces and livable communities. This unique position in the firm will be dedicated full-time at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to support SEA MOVES, the airport’s new employee transportation program.

About SEA MOVES
The Port of Seattle is launching the SEA MOVES program at SEA Airport in early 2026. The program aims to reduce single occupancy vehicle commute trips and associated congestion at the airport, reduce transportation barriers for employees, make it easier for employers to recruit and retain employees, and improve access to job opportunities for the airport’s diverse workforce. SEA MOVES will function as the onsite Transportation Management Association, coordinating with the airport’s hundreds of employers and thousands of employees. The Program Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch team and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
- SEA MOVES Help Desk: Staff the SEA MOVES help desk, providing customer-service support for employees across the airport and answering questions and providing resources related to transit access, transit passes, active transportation options, and carpooling.
- Transit Pass Program Support: Process and distribute transit pass cards; process employer transit pass invoices.
- Events, Competitions, and Outreach:Organize and staff transportation events; develop and market periodic commute competitions and campaigns in partnership with the SEA MOVES team; support employee outreach, including “walkabouts” around the airport to raise awareness of commute options.
- Program Monitoring:Track employee and employer engagement, program participation, and surveys. Support development of weekly, monthly, and quarterly report outs to leadership.
- Program Development: Work with the SEA MOVES team to develop and test new programs and commute campaigns.
- Other Administrative Duties: Support the SEA Moves program as needed, including data entry, data analysis, communications materials, printing, or other tasks to ensure we deliver the SEA MOVES program with excellence.
Requirements
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- The successful candidate must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
- A minimum of two years of experience in customer service, communications, data management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology, marketing, administration, transportation planning, or related experience.
The ideal candidate should also have:
- Excellent communication skills, including written and oral
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- An ability to learn and use new software, tools, and technology platforms, such as project management software and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with ease
- Familiarity with transportation options in the Puget Sound
Strong candidates will also have a passion for advancing equity through community-based efforts, including engagement with BIPOC communities, and will demonstrate an ability to work effectively with diverse communities. Candidates who are fluent in Amharic, Dari, Pashto, or Samoan will be reviewed favorably.
We are looking for someone who is customer-service oriented, personable, and interested in working hand-in-hand with employees.
Pay and Benefits
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position contingent on Nelson\Nygaard’s contract with the Port of Seattle to manage the SEA Moves program. Nelson\Nygaard’s contract is currently in place for two years with the option to renew for up to five years. The position will be onsite at the SeaTac airport full-time, staffing the transportation window 7am-3pm Mondays through Thursdays and 7am-10am Fridays at minimum.
The pay range for the Program Coordinator is $26-$30/hour depending on experience.
