Make a financial and estate plan that looks at more than just your money.
Making a plan for the future can be scary and overwhelming. You know that you need a plan but where do you start? Also, you know you are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. Join Jenny Ling, an experienced estate planning attorney, and Minh Ngo, Wealth Management Advisor at Northwestern Mutual, to learn how you can make a financial and estate plan that looks at more than your money.
When you die, you probably want to have a say as to how all that you have worked so hard for are given to the people or organizations you care most about. That is estate planning—making a plan in advance and naming whom you want to receive the things you own after you die.
However, good estate planning is much more than that. It should also:
• Impart more than just money – your values, life experiences, family stories;
• Make a plan for your children;
• Make a plan for not just your death, but also your possible incapacity; and
• Change with you as your life changes.
Financial Planning can mean different things for different people. Financial planning with a purpose can make sure you are making decisions that are most aligned with your core values. For some, it could mean being more “present” with family...even if it meant taking on a role where you made less. Alternatively, it might be to work at a meaningful pace for a period of time and knowing the extra stress with the job/industry is worth it knowing it can give them a certain sense of financial independence.
Come to this free virtual event and learn how, with the guidance of experienced professionals and a few simple steps, you can have the peace of mind knowing that your family and future are taken care of and there is no question what your wishes are.
