There are many symptoms of work stress, from physical symptoms like headaches, sleeping problems, tiredness, or breathing problems, to psychological symptoms, like irritability, depression, constantly feeling overwhelmed, or inability to focus, to behavioral symptoms, like being constantly absent, making mistakes, low productivity, and aggression.

The causes of stress at work could be anything from an increased workload, increased hours, tight deadlines, or sudden changes at work.
Ways to Mitigate Stress at Work
If someone is feeling overwhelmed at work, it is important to find a way to relieve some of that stress. This may include rebalancing work, offering stress-release activities, like yoga, or even a short vacation or use of sick days to get a break.
