    The Definition of Branding

Branding is your business’s identity, the culmination of everything your customers think of your company, so it is important that your business maintains a brand that fits their ideal culture and demographic. It includes the company’s name, iconography, including the logo, and any taglines or mottos.

    Forming Your Brand

You want all of these to fit the tone the company wants to set and your business’s target audience. For instance, high-class products or services may be better advertised with more formal language or a more detailed logo with plenty of curves while those aimed at more down-to-earth customers may be better advertised with more laid back language and a simpler logo. A business’s main branding color can set the mood it wants to express to customers, like orange for excitement, yellow for happiness, purple for richness, or black, blue, or gray for professional and reliable.
