The link between business success and education could not be stronger and more interdependent than right now. What goes on in the classrooms, trade shops, and technology labs will help determine whether or not our region’s economy continues to grow and benefit all communities and industry sectors.
That is why we need you at the table – a roundtable – to talk about the workforce issues facing businesses and to focus on how community and technical colleges can better prepare people with the skills they need to succeed in today’s economy.
We hope you can join us, business leaders from our region, state lawmakers, and representatives from the State Board of Community & Technical Colleges for an interactive discussion on the following topics. We will also be joined by educational leaders: Dr. Suzanne Johnson, President of Green River College; Dr. John Mosby, President of Highline College; and Dr. Kevin McCarthy, President of Renton Technical College.
This roundtable is brought to you by the Auburn, Covington, Kent, Renton, and Seattle Southside Chambers along with educational institutions Green River College, Highline College, and Renton Technical College as well as the Boeing Company and Puget Sound Energy.
