2026 Workforce Discovery Lab Interview Day!

This is a Workforce Discovery Lab student interview date! Please register and fill out the information in order to hold your spot and ensure that you will be able to interview to be a part of this year's Workforce Discovery Lab. Note: When registering, please put N/A or None for company name and title

Tuesday, June 2, 2026 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
Wednesday, June 10, 2026 | 2 - 4 p.m. 
Thursday, June 11, 2026 | 9:30 - 11 a.m. 

Interviews will be 15-minute-long one-on-one discussions with interviewers. For the interview, please prepare a short, 5-minute presentation covering the following details. This presentation can be simply verbal, or you can bring materials like presentation slides if you would like.

• Tell us about yourself!
• Why do you want to be a part of this program?
• What value will you bring to the program and your fellow students?

 After your presentation, your interviewer will ask a few questions.

1. Please confirm you are available from August 3rd - August 14th from 9am to 5:30pm. If you’re not able to, you will not be able to be accepted into the program. Please be sure to confirm this before your interview.
2. Have you participated in any programs to help you with post high school success? This includes internships, summer programs, or some clubs or school sports. Please tell me about your experience with them. (This question will not factor into your acceptance)
3. Please tell me about an Academic Challenge you've faced and how you overcame it.
4. Please tell me about tangible support you’ve received from family or mentors. This can range from telling you about programs like ours to simply meaningful advice.
5. Now please tell me about any barriers to access success you’ve experienced at home. Examples may be a language barrier, access to technology, dedicating time to taking care of family members, etc.
6. What excites you the most about this program? And what do you hope to learn?
7. Will you need any support from us to participate in this program? Such as accommodations? (This question will not factor into your acceptance)

After these questions, you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the program!
