SUMMARY:Lecture: Creating Just\, Regenerative\, and Democratic Economies
DESCRIPTION:Speaker Aaron Tanaka. Our economy contains abundance: prosperity\, innovation\, resources\, creative activity. It could and should be managed equitably to support the well-being of all people and sustain the health of our climate and ecosystem. Why isn't it? It is becoming more and more evident that our efforts to do good are being overwhelmed by an economic system working at cross purpose with our values. So while we are winning some battles\, we are losing our communities. We need higher leverage approaches and we must move what's politically possible to meet the unmovable needs of people and planet.
