DESCRIPTION:Join Be Yoga Burien teacher Hilary Paris and acupuncturist\, Sonja Sivesind of Community Acupuncture Project Burien\, for an afternoon of self-care. This two-hour experience will begin with a grounding meditation\, followed by a SLOW flow\, and we will round it off with yoga nidra and acupuncture. Yoga nidra is a guided meditation done in designed to deepen your awareness. One session of yoga nidra is equivalent to about four hours of sleep. You will receive acupuncture needles from Sonja\, while resting in savasana\, as Hilary guides you through yoga nidra. Sonja will administer acupuncture points that support healing in your body\, allow for qi to flow smoothly through your channels and meridians\, decrease stress and anxiety\, and promote wellness and relaxation. Together\, yoga and acupuncture create powerful body awareness and encourage healing and fluidity\, breaking up stagnation that causes pain and allowing your body to rest deeply. You will come away from this experience full of bliss and restored\, ready to enjoy the rest of your weekend. Please bring a yoga mat. All props will be provided. No experience with yoga or acupuncture necessary.
