  • Ambassador Committee Ambassador Committee

    The Ambassador Committe is made up of Chamber-Member volunteers who are liaisons of our Chamber. Ambassador's presence at functions and events provide a professional and hospitable atmosphere for everyone. This Committee offers each Ambassador a gateway into learning more about the business community and places the Ambassadors in the limelight of the Chamber as they are often the first people to engage a business.

     

    This Committee meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday of every month after The Morning Buzz at the Chamber Office. If you are interested in joining the Ambassador Committee please contact Emma Oglesby at emma@seattlesouthsidechamber.com

  • Education & Workforce Development Committee Education & Workforce Development Committee

    Education & Workforce Development Committee works in collaboration with employers, educators and job training programs to ensure local students receive an excellent education and relevant training to prepare them for the workforce and/or post high school education or vocational training.

     

    We meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 8:30am-9:30am at the Chamber Office. If you are interested in attending a meeting, or would like more information please contact Andrea Reay at andrea@seattlesouthsidechamber.com

  • Governmental Affairs Committee Governmental Affairs Committee

    The Governmental Affairs Committee focuses on the issues that matter most in our region and the communities we serve and notifies the Chamber Board when a specific position needs to be taken. The Seattle Southside Chamber is also part of the South Sound Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coalition (SSCCLC), whose collaborative advocacy efforts work to improve the business climate. The work of the Governmental Affairs committee allows the Chamber to serve as the voice of business at all levels of government to include monitoring and advocating for legislative issues and concerns.

    2% of membership dues are used for lobbying and government advocacy and are not tax deductible as a business expense.

  • Strategic Planning Committee Strategic Planning Committee

    The role of the Strategic Planning Committee is to assist the Chamber with internal goals related to further strengthening the Chamber’s infrastructure and to better position its leadership in the region and state. The mid and long-term goal planning of the Chamber occurs through this committee.
